Sidi Kaouki

This half-day excursion packs in more stops than any of our other Essaouira trips, combining music history, nature, and coastline into a single satisfying outing. It begins with Diabat village, associated with Jimi Hendrix's visits to the region in the late 1960s, before passing the Golf de Mogador and a traditional souk.

The route continues through argan forest — keep an eye out for goats climbing the trees — to a women-run argan oil cooperative, then on to the wild, undeveloped beach at Iftane and the village of Sidi Kaouki itself. A stop at Cap Sim offers panoramic coastal views before heading back to Essaouira. Lunch is included along the way.

It's a well-rounded introduction to the area immediately around Essaouira, ideal if you only have one excursion slot but want to see a bit of everything.
